Gunslinger is definitely more of an average fps kind of control scheme, while for me Hunter feels correct for hunt. But repeating my statement from before I've been playing since the closed beta.

Neither. Hunter used to be better, but now its just preference. People saying it is better is outdated. They give the same amount of control in different ways. Hunter: You start with your weapon or tool lowered. Left mouse button will make you melee. You have to hold a button then left mouse button again to use your weapon or tool.
